DESCRIPTION
Here is a rare
fine antique sterling silver George II sauce boat made in 1758 by Alexander Saunders of London.  The sauce boat is in excellent condition, with fly away handle topped with a leaf scroll and foliate feet with leaf caps,  and gadroon border around the edge.  Well hallmarked as shown in the images.  A
rare find with history of over 260 years, the stories this could tell! It is without monogram and weighs 116.2 grams or 3.74 ozt (approx 5" long (12.7cm) and 3 3/4" tall and 2 3/4" wide).  A fine antique 18th C sterling sauce boat to add to your sterling collection or for your use.
The images don't do it justice due to reflection, it is a fine antique sterling piece in excellent condition, could use a touch of polish but no pitting or structural problems.  Images show from many angles so that you can see the condition and bid with confidence.   This came from a wealthy estate.
