FRAMED 24K GOLD DIPPED FLY TIED AND SIGNED BY A.K. BEST / No. 2 OF 50

I can't believe I'm selling this fly, but it is someone else's turn to own this beautiful 24K gold dipped fly.
I purchased this fly sight unseen from A.K. Best at the 2006 International Fly-Tying Symposium in Sommerset, NJ.  He had 1 of 50 in the booth. but it had already sold.
When I returned home, I mailed a check and received 2 of 50.  I'll provide a copy of the check with the shipment as provenance   There is a redacted copy in the photos.  The memo part of the check is cut off, but it read:  "X OF 50 GOLD FLY EDITION" (you can make out the top of the letters on the check)  Check was for 0.00 and is endorsed by A.K Best.

Fly was Framed by Sawdust & Stitches (Berry Mill)
Fly was gold dipped by Gold Coast Flies (Chris Broomell)
I understand this is a lot to pay for a framed fly, but the concept is beautiful and to my knowledge has not been repeated before or after A.K. blazed the trail.  I do not know how many sold.  (If anyone knows please let me know).
Frame measures ~ 8 1/2" X 6 /3/4"
