early to mid 20th century

'Toys'
baked enamel over stamped round steel plate, mercantile signage.
It's a real, original and authentic vintage advertising sign and not a more recent facsimile or reproduction. The top margin of the round sign has a pre-drilled perforation in which to hang the sign with a metal fastener against a wall or string it up, hanging from the ceiling. The sign only has a very slight, relaxed crease toward the bottom left. This is barely noticeable but should be mentioned in the spirit of full transparency and honesty. The stylized graphic iconography consists of slanted typography in white with black shadow. This typography rests upon a bright and nearly undiminished scarlet red. There are a few minor scuffs and abrasions, both nearly unnoticeable from any appreciable distance.
