Vintage COE Manufacturing Builders Plate Steam Engine Veneer Mill Painesville OH

Description

Offering this cast aluminum builders plate from COE Mfg.  The company was started in 1852 in Painesville Ohio.  They originally started as a steam engine and milling machine manufacturer.  In the 1850's because of the invention of the rotary lathe, they became a standard in the veneer industry.  In 2008 they were sold to USNR.  The Painesville facility is closed.  Plate is 8-5/8" wide x 5.5" tall.  Mounting holes are 8" center to center.  Shows signs of age and use.  See photos.  Free shipping in the continental US.
