Vintage IOWA THE CORN & HOG STATE PAINTED LICENSE PLATE TOPPER Rare Old Advertising Sign. May be NOS and never used. Excellent condition and ready for display. Copyrighted in 1946 as pictured. Guaranteed to be an old original. Before bumper stickers were invented license plate toppers were the only way to advertise on your car as you drove around town and advertised for free. Unless you know the seller if the listing says VINTAGE, USED, or PRE-OWNED and it is not guaranteed it is probably not an old original.  This is NOT a flat porcelain (enamelware) reproduction from ING-RICH or a foreign country. Beware of those selling NOTHING but signs of some type. There are now NON-PORCELAIN, totally flat, reproductions being offered, sometimes as vintage.
